Rodents love Counselors Close -

We live in a forest and love the beauty of our environment. Our “visiting critters” love it also. We know why we love our space.

Here’s some thought about why the rodents love it here also…following is a paraphrased quote from one of your neighbors —

“We had a really bad experience in an Alexandria townhouse a couple of years ago — a growing rat population.

A few residents systematically hung birdfeeders and ignored the waste seeds fallen to the ground. The 🐀 🐀 rats loved the easy seed on the ground and led to their finding crawl spaces and attics easy access for their nests.

In the end, our Board specified limited, hanging bird feeders, constant cleaning of ground detritus - no ground feeders - perhaps bird bathes instead of feeders.”

CC Folks this is REAL in our community. The rats and mice are here in force. And the foxes find the hunting grounds of CC easy pickin’s!
